  1. One of the greatest quests in Slade collecting has been to gather up each and every one of the non-LP B-sides that punctuate their career. From the outset, the band was almost religious about ensuring there was more to every single than simply an advertisement for the next LP, and so such deathless classics as "Wondering Y," "Don't Blame Me," "Candidate," "Man Who Speaks Evil," and the fiddle.
  2. B-Sides is a 2-disc compilation album by the British glam rock band Slade released in March This was the first time many of the songs included on the album were released since the early s.

  6. Finally, on CD, the Slade B-sides! For every boisterous sing-along hit single, there was a fabulous flipside, whether a tender ballad, progressive rocker or left-field nugget. This is Slade's secret history, an invaluable, often surprising insight into a great British band. 40 fantastic tracks, many of which will have you wondering 'why wasn't that on an album?'.Salvo/5(40).
  7. "So Far So Good" is an evocative, catchy rocker as also is the anthemic "Summer Song (Wishing You Were Here)". The latter is a most underrated Slade classic. "Ok Yesterday Was Yesterday" is yet another superb rocker. The quality just keeps coming on the big hit single "Far Far Away". It is so nostalgic listening to it, for me. Great song/5(85).
